It's official! John and I are expecting our first little one. The "go live" date for Baby v1.0 is March 13, 2010. So far things are proceeding along on schedule with very few complications. And we couldn't be more thrilled!
The first trimester sped along. No morning sickness, just a whole lotta fatigue. Nothing that a big ole daily nap couldn't take care of. Now we're into the second semester, and I'm waiting for some of my energy to come back. I'm also dealing with some pretty intense food cravings. Does anyone have any boneless buffalo wings?
We'll find out the gender in early October. Then the real knitting can begin. As of now, I've only knit one sweater for the bean. I'll post photos tomorrow. It's super cute. Love the miniature knits! Until then, I'd love suggestions for your favorite "gender unknown" baby knits. And suggestions for colors -- I'm not a fan of pastels! Thanks!
RIDICULOUSLY happy for you!!! Trish just told me--I'd about given up on you ever blogging again. :-) Thinking good thoughts.

Congratulations, Jen! I became a grandma 5 weeks ago (due date wasn't til Oct. 4, but while tiny, McKenna is doing great. She hopefully will be coming home from the NICU and settling in with her mommy and daddy this weekend...fingers crossed!) I am very excited for you (I just told Diane to come check out the announcement!)
My vote for a non-pastel combo is turquoise and lime. Baby knitting is a blast!
ps... I hope your pregnancy continues to go well.
